How much does Moodle cost for a school?
Moodle itself is free, open-source software. Our deployment is a fixed $200, typical school hosting runs modest monthly amounts, and support plans start at $79/month. There are no per-student licences — the cost driver in commercial LMS platforms.
Can parents really see homework and grades?
Yes. Moodle's parent/guardian role shows each parent their own children's assignments, deadlines, grades and feedback. We configure and test it with dummy parent accounts before launch.
Does it sync with our school information system?
We sync class lists, students and staff from PowerSchool, SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom and other systems that offer API, OneRoster or scheduled CSV export. The sync runs automatically — rollovers stop being manual.
How do you handle safeguarding and data protection?
Access is configured least-privilege by role, with audit logging and retention set to your policies. We align the technical setup to GDPR (UK/EU), FERPA and COPPA as applicable, and document every control for your records.
Our teachers are not technical. Will they cope?
The teacher experience is deliberately kept standard — no exotic plugins to relearn. Most schools are running homework and quizzes within the first week, and our support plan covers the 'how do I' questions too.
